Reduces supply times for large part sizes that exceed 100 mm

There are many cases of automotive boards such as ECUs having large connectors that exceed 100 mm in length. We suspect that the usage of such parts is going to increase in future. However, the packaging for such parts is very large and it was required to place these parts in a smaller tray to use them with conventional supply units. In addition, there was the issue in which the part supply cycles would increase because the quantity of parts supplied per tray was small.

As the solution for such issues, a new tray unit for supplying large parts, sMTU-XL has been developed.

While 3 times the part supply amount compared with a conventional unit is achieved, the footprint is equivalent to that of a conventional sMTU-LT2 unit. The increase in footprint is only 4%.

Large tray drawers that eliminate work for transferring parts to small trays

Trays up to 600 x 460 mm can be loaded on sMTU-XL tray drawers.
It is possible to supply part sizes that exceed 100 mm at one time. Therefore, work for transferring parts to small trays which was previously required is no longer needed.

Solution for increasing the part supply quantity

Compared with a conventional unit, the height inside a magazine is taller by 74.5 mm and the volume inside a magazine is 3 times greater. This makes it possible to supply more parts.
