By connecting SMT processes through M2M communication, the machines work together so that the required actions are performed automatically. This connectivity also enables visualization of the entire production line.
Work that is performed manually such as part supply is made easier with guidance systems and automation units that enable error-free work processes.

1. Automatic changeover

Conveyor widths and programs for all machines in the line configuration can be changed just by scanning the ID of the applicable product.
This reduces changeover time, and eliminates reworking that may result from human error.
At the SMT machines, nozzle exchange, backup pin arrangement, and calibration are performed automatically.

2. Machine link (M2M)

M2M communication links once separated processes, linking the machines to one another so that changes in events imperceivable by humans can be caught.
The required response to that event can then be performed automatically to maintain quality.

2.1 Printer feedback control - SPI link

Inspection results are received from the SPI, and the appropriate response to trends that show a change in conditions can be performed automatically.
Because these changes are responded to before they lead to problems, high-quality solder printing is maintained.

2.2 Mounter feedback control - AOI link

If inspection results received from the AOI show a trend for a change in accuracy, the positioning is compensated automatically.
Because these changes are responded to before they lead to problems, high-accuracy part placement is maintained.

2.3 Remote board skips - SPI and AOI link

Part placement is skipped for boards that have poor solder printing based on the SPI results.
When all boards on the panel are printed together, only the boards with poor inspection results are skipped, preventing wasteful production.

3. Part supply

Using automation units and systems for part supply work enables efficient, error-free work.

3.1 Parts out warning function

The used quantity is counted and when the remaining count reaches the quantity at which resupply is required, the operator is instructed to supply more parts.
If there are multiple, guidance is given in order of the parts closest to a parts out error, so that work can be performed in order.

3.2 Auto Splicing Unit

Any operator can perform accurate splicing regardless of individual experience levels. Because this removes issues that result from poor splicing joints, it contributes to improved operation rates.
Part verification and supply can be performed at the line side for units that are equipped with the verification option.

3.3 Auto Loading Feeder

When using the Auto Loading Feeder parts can be replenished at any time, meaning that resupply work can be spread evenly during production to avoid part supply rushes.
When preparing parts for production two reels, including the resupply reel, can be loaded per feeder. Once the first reel has been used the resupply reel is taken up automatically and production continues using the new reel.
This is the perfect solution for supplying parts that are used a lot in production and thus need to be resupplied frequently.

4. Floor monitoring

4.1 Management Monitor (for managers)

The operation status of all lines is shown in a single screen to make it easier to identify issues.
Ranking the machine statuses and occurred errors on-screen makes it possible to identify and respond to problems sooner, limiting the extent of possible damage.

4.2 Advanced Dashboard (for operators and line managers)

Advanced Dashboard makes it possible to check schedules and progress per line. Modules for which a problem has occurred are shown in red together with a prompt for possible remedies.
A record can be kept of remedies that have worked in the past so that the knowledge of veteran operators can be shared with other operators.
